Cats and cute art, such a perfect
combination, right? That’s exactly why this independent game is trending right
now. I don’t know if you’ve seen it on your timeline but I sure have for the
past few days. At first, I thought it was just some boring clicker game, but
little did I know it’s much more than that.
In this game, you’ll be playing
as a homeowner (literally a home and meow owner), a stay-at-home person who
takes care of everything while your spouse goes to work. So, the plot is simple
enough to follow: you and your spouse moved to an empty house with your cat,
s/he goes to work, you take care of everything from bathing the cat to decorate
the house. At the end of the day, both the spouse and the cat will give you
some love which works as a currency. You can buy furniture and foods with this
love they gave you, all you have to do is be patient and take care of the cat.
When you have enough money, you can unlock other rooms such as garden and
bedroom and more cats to adopt. The more love you get, the richer you are.
What makes it interesting is how
on brand the application is. The art style is simple yet adorable and the cat
is just simply adorable. It does not offer many moving animations but it’s
enough to get you hooked because of how simple the game is. Once you bathed the
cat, for instance, you’ll have to wait for hours to do it again. This game
reminds you how important it is to take things slowly and just live in the
moment. You can find the characters of this game moved place by themselves,
they can be sitting calmly at the porch, watching tv at the lounge, or sleeping
soundly on their bed. With calming instruments, the game gives you some sort of
relaxation and warms your heart, truly adorable.
Surprisingly, this game is
inclusive, as well. You have to choose a spouse and you can choose any character you want regardless of their gender. I would say
this is really a great thing to do, because there’s not many games that doesn’t
limit their spouse choice. You can’t expect everyone to be attracted to the
opposite gender, right? Like come on, it's 2020.
What I’m trying to say is that
the game is pretty self-explanatory. If you’re a cat lover you surely will love
it, since it’s vibe is similar to the infamous cat-collecting game, Neko Atsume. If you’re someone who wants
to kill time in a lovely and warm home, this one is also for you.
